Born in Thessaloniki, she graduated from the Dental School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) in 1986.
In 1987 she launched her general dentistry private practice, while also completing the two-year postgraduate Fixed Prosthodontics course at the Department of Fixed Prosthodontics, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (1987-1988). She then received a postgraduate scholarship in Forensic Dentistry at the Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, Medical School, AUTh (1988-1989).
She completed a three-month postgraduate Erasmus course in Paediatric and Community Dentistry at the Department of Child Dental Health and Community Dentistry, Royal Dental College, Aarhus, Denmark (April 1989-July 1989).
In 1997 she graduated from the three-year postgraduate Orthodontic Program of the Department of Orthodontics, Dental School, AUTh and received her specialisation in Orthodontics; she was awarded the title of orthodontic specialist after successfully completing relevant examinations at the Greek Ministry of Health. Since 1997 she has been practicing orthodontics exclusively.
She has published in scientific journals and made presentations at panhellenic orthodontic conferences.
She has served as a member of the Orthodontic Committee of the Central Health Council of Greece.
She is a member of the Editorial Board of the ‘Hellenic Orthodontic Review’ journal and a member of the:
- Greek Orthodontic Society
- Orthodontic Society of Northern Greece
- Greek Association for Orthodontic Study & Research
- Stomatological Society of Northern Greece
- Professional Association of Greek Orthodontists (member of EFOSA, World Federation of Orthodontists).
